The beautiful library on the Long Beach campus of the University of Southern Mississippi is open for business. In fact, we are coming up on our six month anniversary of being open. We officially reopened for business on the Long Beach campus on January 14th, 2008. As you know this was after two and one half years of being closed due to the extensive damage from Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately the library is still flanked by damaged buildings. But if you come to visit don't let that deter you. There are some other buildings that are open on the campus besides the library. Classes are being held here and campus life is alive and well.
Next time you are in the area, drive in from the beach road, take a few pictures of the friendship oak and come on by to say hello. We would love to hear from you!.

It is great to have the Gulf Coast Library at the Long Beach campus open for full library services. It is also good that the Student Service Center Library at the Gulfport campus continues to offer full library services. This means that students can access library services where their classes are located.
